Winter Weaving

Winter Weaving

It's been a bit of a funny winter. Not much snow this year but the weather has turned very cold. My thoughts have turned to weaving and I've been busy making some scarves.

This scarf is very soft, shades of pinks, from my stash. The label has been lost but I'm guessing acrylic. The scarf is 8 x 69" long with a 6" fringe.

This yarn is called Calypso from Emu, made in England. The yarn is 70% wool and 30 % acrylic. It washed up beautifully and is very soft. It has shades of pink, yellow, green, on a black background and feels like a party is about to take place. The scarf is 8 x 67" with a 6" fringe.

This scarf has woven up very fine in weight. The yarn is 88% acrylic, 7% Lurex and 5% polyester.
The Lurex is a gold thread in the yarn giving it a pretty gold sparkle. The scarf washed up beautifully and is very soft, no scratchy feel (given the gold Lurex)  to it at all. It measures 8 x 66" with a 6" fringe.

All heading to my Etsy shop.

Hugs and stay warm.
