These are a pair of thrummed wrist warmers that I hand spun, dyed, and knit to keep the cold away.
Very toasty warm on the wrists.

Boro Jacket

So much to do - will I ever get it all done? Here is a jacket I'm working on, it's from a class that Jude Hill taught on line called Boro 2. I started this last year but because I always have several things on the go at once I work on it when the mood strikes.
I love the way it's turning out and it speaks to me as I go along so I follow my intuition and do what it tells me. I still have a lot of stitching to do and then I will line it and finish it off with an onion skin dyed binding.

It is all hand stitched - every inch of it so slow going ----BUT I LOVE IT!!!!!

Warping the loom

Threading the reed.

 Lots of weft choices

A new year has begun and I'm busy setting up my loom for weaving cocoon jackets. I've warped the loom with 2ply wool - yarn from my Romney sheep. I have lots of choices for the weft as you can see - a room full of wool that needs to be turned into useful items. Now if only Zoe would cooperate - these walk breaks are cutting into my weaving time.
